On Sunday, we went over to Lowe's and picked up some pumpkins, mums and hay. I'm still on the hunt for corn stalks, and those crazy heirloom pumpkins to add in, but I'm loving how festive the house feels now. This is actually the barn beside the house, but you know what I mean :) Our front porch is currently being decorated for Halloween complete with spider webs, a giant talking scarecrow, skeleton, witch and a few other things. I figured I would keep one area more traditional that can also be used until Thanksgiving and then the other part will be more fun for Halloween! Ugh, I CANT FREAKING WAIT FOR TRICK OR TREATING. Yes, I have always been obsessed with holidays and I'm so happy that I get to make these memories with the kids!

I'm currently planning to take a trip up to north Georgia and go apple picking as a family. If you have any other fun fall activity ideas for a family, please let me know in the comments below. Now that we live somewhere that has the change of seasons, it feels a lot more like October than it ever did when we lived in Florida. I remember feeling like it wasn't even halloween or Christmas when we were there. Plenty of people love it and don't mind one bit, but for us.. we LOVE having seasons and having the holidays really feel like like a holiday. You know what I mean??

Anyways, one of my favorite ways to style an otherwise more neutral outfit is to add in a pop of color with my shoes. You could do the obvious choice of black or grey shoes with this outfit, but something about these booties really made my heart sing with this outfit. These booties are the bomb.com and I'm so happy that I ordered them! I LOVE the color, style, and comfort.. really, the whole vibe.
