Farmhouse Dining Room

Farmhouse Dining Room

You guys! I've been busy over here planning our new home. Incase you missed it, I announced on Thanksgiving (here on Instagram), that we are moving to Georgia!! EEK! I've wanted this for so long now, and we are all beyond excited. As most of you may know, I was born in Florida, but moved when I was 3 and raised in Georgia. My parents, brothers, and best friends live there. After living in Florida with and without kids, I know in my heart that I prefer the lifestyle back in Georgia for me and my family.

As neutral, light and bright as this may look, it's actually very durable when you have kids. I knew I most definitely wanted wood chairs, rather than upholstered. Our current dining chairs are now ruined from spills and the fabric has pilled. We use our dining table everyday, what was I thinking with light colored fabric?????

Moving on to the jute rug. We have one in the playroom that has lasted forever, and doesn't show any wear from the kids. From spills to crayons, it all blends in. I think that's perfect for potential spills at the table. We have this one from Rugs USA, and you really can't beat their prices for the quality.

The only two chairs that the kids won't be seated at? These stunning woven, wingback chairs that I have literally lusted over since I saw them while we lived in Myrtle Beach! That's a long time to want a chair. LOL. I think the style fits my home decor aesthetic perfectly, and they would make the perfect pair in the corner area until we need them when we have more guests over.

Now, onto the farm table! We will be living in a french country, modern/updated farmhouse. The kitchen cabinets are a light grey with gold hardware, white subway tile, light pine flooring, and TONS of natural light. Seriously guys, my dream. The dining room is the focal point when you walk through the front door, so I want a statement table. Obviously keeping with the farmhouse style, you bet your bottom I want an 8ft farm table! Still on the hunt for the perfect one, but I found so many beautiful options incase you are in the market. Don't worry, I'll update when I've made my decision for ours :)

This wood beaded chandelier fits my personal style perfectly, and isn't something you would typically see with farmhouse decor, but I think it works so well and taps into my bohemian tendencies. I love the whitewashed wood beads!

Serena and Lily has this gorgeous Handwoven Rattan Bar Cart, to set up between the kitchen and dining area. I love the added texture!

I wanted to share my inspiration with all of you, because you know I love and value your advice! Can't wait to share more very soon!!
