How To Style Velvet For A Classic Chic Look

How To Style Velvet For A Classic Chic Look

Can this dress, and really entire look have a moment real quick? We know that velvet is big for Fall, and up until now, I haven't found many velvet pieces that I loved or wanted to invest in.

In my opinion, go big or go home. If you're going to do velvet, do it in a fun way. It's already out of the norm to rock velvet, and something a bit more unexpected from the typical fabrics. Nothing groundbreaking, but definitely special. Instead of velvet pants, or maybe a velvet top, try something like this flared sleeve dress. There's isn't an extravagant print on it to date it or make it too loud, but the cut and fit make it feminine and stylish without having to do much else.

I'm a huge fan of navy and black, so I decided it would really make this look classic with black accessories. Using my Stuart Weitzman thigh high boots in black along with my black hat makes for a cohesive and put together look.

I think this would make the perfect dress not only for Fall, but to style into Winter and definitely Holiday parties and New Years Eve. Ahh, so many ideas. Excited to get a lot of wear out of this one!
