Inspired by the Classics : Fall Staples

Inspired by the Classics : Fall Staples

This coming up Friday will officially be the first day of Fall, and with that I wanted to start creating content for all of you lucky babes that get to experience that beautiful change in the weather. Due to the fact that we live in sunny south FL, we'll be taking some trips so we can not only enjoy the Fall scenery and weather, but to shoot some outfits. I don't know about you, but my mojo always comes back around when it's time for colder weather fashion. I thrive in layers, chunky sweaters, LEOPARD BOOTIES.. just all of it gets me riled up. I swear one day we will be able to move near my parents and live with the beautiful seasons in Atlanta, GA.

If you've been following along with me, you'll know that I recently did a huge closet clean out and decided to create more of a classic, capsule wardrobe. The first staple I would highly recommend is a pair of leopard shoes, either my all time favorite Kate Spade loafers or these stunning Tory Burch booties. Both are extremely comfortable and can be paired with just about every outfit. Remember, leopard is a neutral.

Next, a classic cashmere crew neck sweater is the best basic that can be worn alone, and easily as a base layer. I purchased this Equipment sweater after Madelyn was born, and 3 years later its still in amazing condition. Besides the fact that your girl needs to remember her damn lint roller when she shoots outfits....

Now, you all know I have to throw a hat suggestion in here. It just wouldn't feel right if I didn't! Baker boy hats are the biggest trend right now, and I have been in love with them since I wore my first one to NYFW last February. I don't see this trend going anywhere for a long time. It will come back around every season. This one from Eugenia Kim is a bit of a splurge, but it's stunning and the cashmere will be lovely in the cooler weather. I also love this more affordable option, and I just ordered this one

Lastly, a camel wrap coat will be your best friend all throughout Fall and Winter. It instantly completes the simplest of outfits, and can be worn with everything because of the classic color and style. Mine is old from Zara, but I found this one from Asos that I think will sell out pretty quick. When you find this style coat in an affordable price range, they always go quick. It's SO hard to find a good one that isn't $700+.. I swear it took me forever.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed todays post. Thank you so much for stopping by, love you guys!
