In a perfect world, we could all have an interior designer and an unlimited budget, am I right? Let's be real for a second, that's not my life and it's not the majority of the populations life, so I need to really let go and stop being such a perfectionist. I'm always thinking of how I can complete our master bedroom, so I can share with all of you.. but It's never at that point where I feel it's totally "me" and finished.

Today, I'd love to introduce you all to an update on what's going on with my decor, and where I'm at so far!

I wanted to do something a little different than our last bedroom in South Carolina. Our old room was more shabby chic, rustic/ trying to be farmhouse. This one, I wanted to really reflect my personal style at home. Something more eclectic, and full of pieces that mean something to me. With that, comes waiting, and lots of it. Saving, too! I'd rather practice patience and have good quality pieces that will last us. Hence why this process is traveling at snail speed!

For starters, we all know I have a very dear love affair with Anthropologie. The quality, and uniqueness of everything has really stolen my heart. I spotted these nightstands, and saved up for a good while. Then, the day had finally come, and they were mine! Anthropologie was extremely generous and helped jump start my decor process with these lamps to compliment our new furniture addition. (Thank you again!!) .... and then I found this stunning mirror at our local store. Ah, isn't she lovely?

I also think a bar cart would be a really unique, and unexpected use for a nightstand. Try this handwoven rattan cart, or this retro inspired cart.

(I'd love to add a chest for extra storage underneath that Slim Aarons art print)

I really love having a fresh, white base. Essentially, so I can swap out pillows, add a quilt or throw, or even change the rug. That way, it won't get too busy for me, and I'll have that white comforter to brighten everything up! We recently got this Crane and Canopy duvet cover, and sheet set. I couldn't be happier with the quality (already washed twice!). The ruffle detail gives the perfect feminine touch!

I love this Ikat print quilt, this thistle quilt, or this quilt for a fun pop of color and design.

Stil, there is a lot of work left to do, and I'll be sure to update you all along the way!
