Rainbow Crochet

If wearing dresses all summer long is wrong, I don't want to be right. Truly, you can't go wrong with a lightweight, midi dress. Wear it to work, out for drinks, a tropical vacation, or even a wedding. The dark backdrop beneath all of the beautiful colors really grounds it all, making it such a classy piece.

This Eva Franco dress was quite the conversation starter while in Palm Beach, just ask Chris the introvert. It's kind of hilariously the same as when he takes the kids anywhere. People always want to stop and talk to them, while he secretly wishes they wouldn't. Sorry about my cute dress, Chris ;)

If you love a colorful, eye catching look, try this lily printed dress, this airy blue maxi, this adorable knit mini, or this vibrant maxi dress.

4 Bags for Spring

One of my favorite ways to bring spring and summer into my wardrobe? Accessories. I realized the other day that I've been reaching less for my designer handbags, and more towards these fun bags.

Not only are the shapes different and more unique, but I love the textures. Woven, basket bags add such a fun element to any outfit. Instead of going for something bright and colorful, try a neutral like mine and they will stand the test of time. Neutrals are always timeless, and can easily match with the rest of your wardrobe.

As you can tell, I've used this Clare V. tote regularly since purchasing last summer. It's the perfect size, color, and a great price point for the quality. I've already got my eye on the new, petite version.

Kate Spade dress (mine is from last year, linked to this seasons version. You'll get so much wear out of this!) \\ Kate Spade sandals \\ Ray Ban sunglasses \\ Clare V handbag

Lovebird Maxi

Those of you who have been following along for quite a while might remember when I talked about my grandfather passing away. I can't believe it's going to be four years this June! With time, it does get easier, but I can tell you that you're heart will still have that piece missing. I was so lucky to have grown up so close to him, and to have learned what I did from his time here.

When Spell Designs sent over this dress, I pulled it from the packaging, and my eyes welled up with tears. You see, my grandfather's nickname was Sammy Peacock. (Also why Kai's middle name is Samuel!) He used to own a nightclub called the Peacock Club, and the name really stuck with him. Now that he has passed, whenever I see a peacock, I feel like he's still here with me.

Read what the peacock represents -> "Peacock feathers symbolize immortality and a connection with the spirit world as well as divine guidance and protection. Peacocks are connected to immortality due to the fact that in Biblical times, it was believed that the flesh of a peacock remained healthy and vital after death."

How crazy is that?

Seersucker Stripe Skirt

Technically, it's still winter here in South Florida, but it reminds me so much of spring in South Carolina. Making me hunt all over Pinterest and the internet for the perfect places to visit before summer hits. I've made a goal for myself, to get better at researching and planning trips. Typically, I get super overwhelmed and give up right in the begging of my search, but not anymore. I'm just going to relax, and go with the flow!

I think we will travel in the country for now, and wait for those trips abroad until we've gotten better at this whole thing. People make it look so easy! Do you have any tips for me? Have I asked this before? I swear after having my babies, my memory is shot. I can't remember too much anymore!

Quickly, I wanted to point out that the bruises on my shins are not a fake tanning incident, rather erythema nodosum.. a part of having an auto immune disorder. I just didn't feel the need to photoshop them out, sorry !

If you're ever in Palm Beach, you've got to make a stop to walk along Peruvian St! These photos don't do these gorgeous blooms as much justice as when you see them in person. One day, I'll have a home surrounded and covered in bougainvillea, hydrangeas.. all of it!

I had originally intended on wearing this adorable, seersucker stripe skirt with my Equipment floral blouse. Well, I spotted this eyelet top and there was no going back. Not that my floral option didn't work, but I fell in love with the way these two pieces paired together! I felt so put together and ladylike for once... as a mom of two, that's a rare occasion these days. ha ha!

Although, I really do love that Chris and I get a day together every weekend to shoot and spend time together, so if that's my one day to feel put together, I'll take it! :)

Downtown, Clematis St.

Not far from Worth Avenue, you'll find the cutest downtown area. If you love good food and walking around in the fresh air, head over to Clematis St. If you head east, you will run into the water where all of the beautiful boats and yachts are docked. Definitely a nice setting to relax.

Grab a coffee at Subculture for me and tell me how it is! Roccos Tacos for amazing guacamole, fajitas and margaritas. Avocado Grill, Bee Organics, or Dorrian's for craft beer and the best pulled pork sandwich. (Can you tell we, as in Chris, and sometimes me, love craft beer?)

We got to enjoy the most beautiful weather (it's still going strong as I type this with all of the sliding doors open!), so I opted for this flirty and floral, swing dress. The light blue background behind the floral print makes this dress beyond summer perfection. I may or may not have worn it everyday I left the house for the past week... and I'm already thinking of wearing it for Easter.

Kate Spade sunglasses \\ Anthropologie dress [ gifted ] \\ Soludos espadrille wedges [ so comfortable, go down one full size! ] \\ Cult Gaia bag [ size large ] , also love this round cross-body! \\ Dainty, choker necklace

Inside Worth Avenue, Palm Beach

The first day of Spring calls for warm weather outfit planning, and in some cases, vacation planning! We are so fortunate to live in such a beautiful place, and very close to Palm Beach where we have been spending plenty of weekends and day trips. I think its the perfect place to relax, shop, dine, and enjoy the stunning scenery. I can't tell you how many times we've walked down Worth Ave without realizing there is another little world behind the main street.  Each walkway is tucked behind the main street, eventually connecting you to each other. You'll find restaurants, and shops tucked away with flowers, fountains and cute little spots to sit and relax.

I know what you're thinking, I talk about Palm Beach too much. Have I convinced you to take a trip here yet?

I went out of my comfort zone a little with these adorable, pink sunglasses. Spring always makes me have an itch for color and fun, and whats more fun than pink sunnies? At one point of our day, Chris looks over at me and says "you really love those, don't you?!" I guess I ended up wearing them all day long without even taking them off. Judging by his concern, I suppose he wasn't all too fond of them. Ha ha!

If you're looking for the perfect, lightweight, and stylish dress, I've found it! It's lined, so you can wear it out and about or throw it over your swimsuit for a beach day. Personally, the subtle tassels on the bottom are the icing on the cake. I could talk about dresses all day, so I won't bore you for much longer :)

Anyways, I felt this whole look was the perfect way to jump into Spring. Be sure to check out Bloomingdales collection of 100% exclusives, I am dying for just about everything! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, and thank you so much for reading.

xx
