Hi guys! I'm happy to report that we stayed afloat in this treacherous weather we have experienced all weekend. It started with Friday, I ran to the store to stock up on groceries and necessities just in case. As I pulled into Target, it started pouring. My car suddenly sounded a lot like a lawn mower (or Chris snoring when he has had too much to drink) and then alerted me that my engine was overheating. Grand, just grand. So, I blast through Target grabbing everything that looks appealing all within a couple of minutes (I even exchanged a curtain rod! Impressive, I know.. but imagine how bat shit crazy I must have looked to everyone in there!) all while AAA was on their way to tow poor Betty. Now, I'm just waiting on Christopher and Maddy to pick me up as I stand in the cold rain with my basket of drenched groceries. Why I didn't make the walk back inside to wait? I don't know. Maybe because I am already wet and pissed off and pregnant. Pissed off and pregnant is never a good thing.. and wet? Oh hell.. (watch out)
My chariot finally arrives and sweeps me and my shit off my feet. The kitten is wearing her cat sweat pants, mis matched socks, a huge cable knit sweater and rosy cheeks. Looking like a stuffed sausage in her car seat. Resembling the dead of winter by her outfit, and the middle of summer by her sweaty cheeks. Daddy tried. He really did.
Now the rain really starts and it's filling up ditches, and roads pretty quick. Saturday and Sunday weren't all that bad, we lost power Saturday night for four hours which was fantastic to fall asleep sweating at 26 weeks pregnant. (not really) We woke up today and weren't able to leave the neighborhood. Everything was flooded, and people were paddle boarding down the street.
So with all of that being said, here are photos before the shit show started :) You can tell the wind was already a little crazy judging by the catastrophe that is my hair. oops. I'm always wearing double denim on repeat as of late. It's just comfortable and super easy to change up with accessories and what not. You might also remember this amazing vest from my snapchat a month or so ago. I saw it when Anthro members got first dibs on all of the new Fall goodies and immediately ordered it.. poor thing just sat in my closet until now. We are finally experiencing that Fall weather everyone loves so much and knew I had to bring it out.
Anyways, I'm hoping for some sunshine in the very near future! I hope you all had a safe and lovely weekend. Thanks so much for stopping by!
