Can you believe it has been an entire year since my very first post?  I can't even believe I've been here in South Carolina that long!  It sure is a bittersweet feeling knowing that I have come so far in just one year. Little did I know that starting a blog, to pass the time while being away from family and friends, would turn into my full-time job.  I have always dreamed of having a job that I love and enjoy so much, that it's not really a job at all.  And that's exactly what I now have, thanks to all of your love and support.
I am so very grateful for each and every one of you!

I'll admit, I was a little discouraged knowing that my blog was going to take a hard hit when my daughter was born.  Even throughout my pregnancy, I wasn't able to do everything I had planned when I first set out on this blogging journey.  There have been times when I have had an amazing opportunity but couldn't execute due to being a new mother . . . especially a new mother away from my big, supportive family.

I've changed courses a few times in my life. . . from switching colleges to new jobs, even moving from my parents' home in Georgia back to where I basically grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Through it all, my family has always been there to support and push me to succeed.

All my life, my grandfather told me he wanted me to model.  I was his Diva, and he was my best friend.
I'm so happy I was able to accomplish so much while living in Florida with my grandparents.
My grandfather passed away after I moved to SC.  It was the hardest thing I've had to go through, but I know he's proud of me, and I'm so happy I have been able to do what he had always hoped for me!

I'll never forget taking this photo in front of the Art Institute, where I attended to pursue Fashion Merchandising.... So much has changed since that day!

During my time at the Art Institute, I met a lot of great people and friends that I will never forget.  I even walked in my first real runway show, along with a handful of other shows, which was actually terrifying!
But I faced my fears head on and lived my dream!  I'm SO proud of myself for doing that.

The runway show from Jacksonville Fashion Week, where I walked for my good friend and designer,
The Mitchell Perry.  Remember him from this season's Project Runway?
(How could anyone possibly forget Mitchell?)   SO incredibly proud of him!

(I might be over sharing here, but this was my life, and I want you all to know who I am.)

Imagine how I felt leaving all of those amazing memories and opportunities behind when I moved here to South Carolina.   Ultimately it has worked out beautifully.  If you would have told me two years ago that I would have a blog, and that it would be my job, I would have laughed at you!

I just want to thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart.  Thank you for supporting me and for always being there!  Thank you for allowing me to share my life with you all.

Love you guys!
