Not So Charming Charleston

I wasn't planning on a post today, but we just got home from a little day trip to Charleston, and I had such a crappy day that I felt like I needed to blog and get it all out. It rained the entire time, and I mean it POURED cats and dogs. Madelyn is in a new stage where she will absolutely not take a nap unless we are at home and she is swaddled. This girl doesn't like to stray away from her routine.  After an hour and a half drive into Charleston with a crying nugget and rain, I was already exhausted, but we knew that we had to at least try and have somewhat of a nice time. My younger brother, Dallas is in town and we wanted to show him a good time. Poor thing. I think he may be slightly traumatized. ha ha.

LBB's life is not always rainbows and butterflies, y'all.

How To Shop LBB's Instagram

Okay, guys, I wanted to shed some light on the whole LIKETK.IT process, for those of you who aren't familiar.  If you are an avid Instagram user, I'm sure you've come across photos with links similar to this one @liketkit #liketkit and maybe you've wondered what it was or just plain flat out don't understand what it is.  It's actually a pretty fantastic system.

Step 1.  Register your e-mail one time on the website
Step 2.  Like instagrams that include the links
Step 3.  Open your e-mail to receive ready-to-shop product links

You have the option to receive the e-mails hourly, daily or weekly, based upon your preferences!

Now, some of you may still not understand why we bloggers use this platform.  Let me explain to you why I use it.  Instead of asking and waiting for product info, sometimes with no reply (Hey, bloggers are busy people, too.  I totally get it!) all I have to do is "like" an Instagram photo with a link and head to my account to find the products from each photo that I "liked".  No more searching.  No more waiting for responses or e-mails (Unless you're an e-mail kind of a gal, then head there!)   We want to make it easy for you!

How awesome is that?

Have a beautiful day!

Hello, Monday!   We meet again!   Am I the only one who feels like summer flew by, and Mondays are coming up quicker and quicker each week?  I actually love a fresh new start to the week.

My little brother will be here to visit on Wednesday, and we will be heading to Charleston on Thursday, so this will be a very exciting week for Piddles (Madelyn) and me.
(You can probably imagine why we call Maddy "Piddles.")

This is a look I wore last night to grab sushi with the family.  I love the feminine lace and boho silhouette of this ChicWish top, and it came with a really nice cami that I wear with everything now.  Double win.

I hope Monday isn't too hard on any of you!  Have a beautiful day, and thank you for stopping by!

Date Night

First off, Happy Friday everyone!
We know how I feel about the weekends... but Christopher and I had the chance to spend a date night out together last night, so I think that got me a little more prepared for this upcoming weekend.

I'm ecstatic to say that I've teamed up with the beauty behind Convey The Moment, Eleni. We wanted to show you all how we dress for our date nights with our other halves!

I went with an easy look . . . one that I could wear during the day and then change out my flats for heels and add a red lip! Sometimes less is more. To me, there is just something chic about a v-neck and skinnies, and black will always be slimming and sexy.

I don't know about you, but I love all aspects of Fashion, especially menswear. Not only do I love to dress myself, but I also really enjoy dressing Chris.  He may not be quite as excited as I am when I come home bearing gifts [clothes].  I'm always so proud when he puts together a really cute outfit all on his own. The man definitely has good taste.

Thank you for stopping by.   I hope you all have a fun and safe weekend!

Little Plaid Dress

There are times when online shopping may get you into a little bit of trouble. (Okay, a LOT of trouble most of the time.  Better?)   And then there are times when you find a little something like this drop-waist dress. The only plaid I've ever worn are button-down shirts, but I took a chance and ordered it anyway.  I'm so happy that I did.  This dress is another piece that I will be able to bring into fall with a denim jacket and booties. What about with a cropped sweater over it? ... maybe even a biker jacket with pumps, if I'm feeling feisty.  SO MANY IDEAS brewing up over here!

In other news, Madelyn has slept through the night (6-8 hours straight) every night for the past week and a half.  If you are a fellow mama reading this right now, you know what this feels like and what it can do for your life.  Let's just say I feel human again.  It blows my mind how fast time is flying by.  She is already 10 weeks old.  She really is the cutest little shit, though. We have "conversations," laugh and play now.  She really isn't into naps anymore, I suppose from sleeping all night, so I only have short periods of time during the day to get a few things done for myself, but I would say I'm adjusting to that just fine.  Also, I've become a bit of a stroller obsessor. We just got a new one.  I would have to quote Kourtney Kardashian on this one and tell you, "There is a stroller for every occasion."  No, really, there is.

Anyway,  I think Maddy's new sleep schedule is cause for celebration. We are planning a day trip to Charleston next week.  It only takes us about an hour and a half to get there.  Hey, I moved from Fort Lauderdale, FL to Myrtle Beach, SC. . .  I've got to go somewhere nice with SHOPPING every once in a while to keep my sanity.  If you've ever been to Charleston, what are some of your favorite places to go? Restaurants or shops you like?  Please let me know!

Have a beautiful day!  Thank you for stopping by!

A Dash Of Leopard

Surprise, surprise ... I added a new hat to my ever-growing collection!  Whatever. . . it was love at first sight; and if i'm going to have a closet dedicated to them, I need to get my shit together and take advantage of price tags such as this one.

In other news, a girl can never own too many playful skirts. I may be telling myself this to justify my recent purchase, but I could be wrong. All I know is, i'll be wearing this one come fall with a sweater and booties. For now, i'll stick with these amaze Michael Kors gladiators. Due to the fact that I have psoriasis on my heels (sorry for the TMI), i'm always looking for a cute sandal with a back on it THAT DOESN'T KILL ME. I think it's because the leather is literally butter soft.

Are any of you reading Sophia Amoruso's #GIRLBOSS ? I am hooked. As of late, I have really felt like I need to start taking charge with getting what I want. I know that I want to work in fashion and eventually start my own business, but I've never taken the initiative to start. I've got something pretty awesome in the works, though, so be on the lookout for something fabulous coming soon to Little Blonde Book!

Which brings me to my next question:  what do you like about Little Blonde Book? Anything you would like to see more of, or less of? Something you think I am missing or could totally do without? Let me know!

Thank you all for stopping by!

Coco To My Chanel

Before Christopher started a new position at work, I always looked forward to the weekends.  Now I sadly dread them (He has to leave at 5 a.m. Saturday and Sunday); but, by all means,
Happy Friday to all of you!

I wore this outfit to Christopher's birthday dinner last night. I'm always cold in restaurants, and the weather will surprise us every once in a while with a nice cooled-off evening. This Chic Wish coat was the perfect answer. I think the asymmetrical lapels are kick ass.
Speaking of kick ass, cue this Style Lately Tee. Even if you aren't a "Fashion girl", this tee is perfect.

In other news, I finally caved and snagged the infamous Clare V. leopard clutch.  I found myself (in distress, pacing my closet, because i'm a freak) reaching for a clutch that would complete almost every outfit I had on. So far, this little beauty has lived up to my every expectation.

Sorry, I'm not sorry if you aren't a fan of the high-waisted shorts.  I figured they would be totally played out by now, but I can't let go of them.  I LOVE THEM!

Last but CERTAINLY not least, we have the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. If you aren't a Nordstrom cardholder, you haven't been able to access the sale until today. (I signed up for a debit card to access the sale early because, like I said, I'm a freak!) So I have thoroughly stocked up on all of my Fall/Winter necessities.  HOW COULD YOU NOT?!

If you are in need of a new boot or bootie, jacket, handbag, pump or flat to get you ready for fall weather that is quickly approaching us, the time is now, my dear friends.

Athleta Unpacked

Today I'm sharing what I pack for my beach yoga sesh (when daddy watches Maddy) and when Madelyn and I have our park dates.

It's SO hot here during the summer time, which is why I fell in love with this super cute and light-weight skort. I'm always bending over to pick stuff up (put stroller together) when Maddy and I venture out of the house. I want to be comfy and still cute. BONUS: I wear this skort for my runs/other activities as well!

PS: This Maxi Cosi Car seat + adapter for my Stokke is literally my lifesaver when I'm not with Christopher to bring all of the other Stokke accessories for our Xplory. I can keep her right in her carseat and head on into wherever I'm going without missing a beat! Plus, it's pink!

Stokke Xplory & Maxi Cosi Car Seat c/o

A big Thank You to Athleta for sponsoring this post.
